The stainless steel structure in place at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens was once many feet of raw, flat, dull stainless steel! One the letters were cut out, the pieces were brought here, where we applied a mirror finish to them. They were then bent and assembled to make the structure you see here. This project was completed in 2002. From the picture you can see that with the careful maintenance of the people at the Botanical Gardens, it is is still a beautiful dedication to this day. A stainless steel structure is the focal point of the Memorial Grove, featuring the shape of an infinity symbol supported by seven pillars. A verse from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ("To everything there is a season…") is incorporated as part of the stainless steel band on top of the structure. Donors making a $500 memorial gift to GBBG can have the name of a loved one engraved one of the pillars as a long-term remembrance. The Memorial Grove is dedicated in memory of Laura and Lester G. Wood.
